It is nice to know that most families cooperate with us from the beginning, so they are experienced in "guests'" accommodation. Staying with a family gives you the chance to take better advantage of the course. In no other place you can recognize so directly the everyday life of the country, which is the best to learn a language. Besides, you don't have to take literally the word "family", since this family can be just one man or lady that offers his or her house to a student because they value the companionship. You can choose a room with breakfast, half board (breakfast and meal; dinner or supper) or bed and board (breakfast and two meals). Is normal that you will have to adapt a little to the house rules, and consider that natives have different customs; but you have the liberty to do whatever you want. You get a house key, so you decide the time to go home, and also you can receive your phone calls.

Students' Apartments

Apartment: Small apartment equipped with all basic facilities.

The apartment is shared with four or five Don Quijote students. We always try to distribute the apartments in a way that you won't have a roommate of your own nationality. However, the risk of speaking English is big, so we recommend making an arrangement to speak Spanish as frequently as possible in the apartment. Apartments are not very luxurious, but they have all basic facilities (a bed, table, chair and closet). All apartments have one common room with TV, a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and an iron. Students' apartments don't have phones. You can make phone calls from the many phone boots nearby. The kitchen and bathroom must be shared and all of you must keep the house clean. Common spaces are cleaned every week.

Secretariat

All Don Quijote schools have their own secretariat and personnel. This people stay in close touch with families and homeowners, and they are at your disposal any time. Any problem or complaint about lodging must be addressed to them. Sometimes a phone call is enough to find a solution. Don't hesitate to talk to them because they are very experienced in the subject.

We insist lodging is very important; because every student has different personal preferences, it is especially difficult to give a general advice. If you want to live with a family, in a student's apartment and/or residence during the time you'll be here, you can do it too. This kind of combine lodging doesn't entail extra expenses. Take all the time you need to make a good decision, and if you have doubts or want more information, please call Don Quijote offices or talk with your agent.
